Hello there Sanjana and Yuthi 🙂 Thank you so much for having us produce your Hindu wedding video here in Melbourne! Same Day Edits are always such a challenge; shooting, editing and screening all on the same day, but always so worthwhile. Being there with you across the 5 days of celebrating has been a very happy memory for us, and we hope this video shows how much we enjoyed the experience 🙂 Video editing is very challenging, because it is an art form of reduction, or removal. Most art forms are the opposite. They begin with a blank page, or an empty canvas, or silence, and as an artist you fill or build or compose materials and elements as you need to express. But not with video editing. When we edit video we have all of our visual assets right there, and we need to trim and cut and reduce all the way down to the real heart of the story. And this is so much harder when you have hundreds and hundreds of beautiful, happy, intimate shots like we had from your wedding. Here you see only 170 shots from a greater collection of almost 1500 shots, which means I cut out almost 90% of the shots to produce this video here. But you will see all of the other happy memories in your longer Feature video 🙂 For now though, you have this nice summary of your Sangeet, Haldi, Mehndi, Hindu Wedding Ceremony and your Reception tonight. I’m glad you both enjoyed seeing your Same Day Edit. I’ll make sure to say thanks especially to Anmol from Enigmatic Entertainment for taking care of the screening so perfectly!

Hello again Yuthi + Sanjana 🙂 Below are all of your current wedding video drafts. Having all of your drafts together here is a convenient way for you to find, view and refer to them. This is much easier than loading up a bunch of youtube tabs, as you’ll be able to view all of them (simultaneously if you like), and check the details of multiple videos at once. You’ll most likely find this useful as you consider and then review your highlights video 🙂
Please note that these are drafts. We originally shot your wedding in full HD, and the editing project is the same. But for the sake of uploading, I have compressed these draft videos by around 90%, and the resolution is only SD. The final videos will be exported from the HD project at full HD again, so you can enjoy the original quality.
Please use the comment section (below) note any changes or updates you might like to see in your wedding video, especially music 🙂 The best method is to write objective, specific instructions for us to follow, like in these examples:

Feature example notes:
4mins 25secs – please change music to “our favourite song, by our favourite artist”. Here is a youtube link to the exact song we would like you to use: www.youtube/aa.com
16mins 33secs – please add music, “another song, by another artist”. Here is a youtube link to the exact song we would like you to use: www.youtube/bb.com
1hr 25mins 12secs – please remove this shot.
2hr 2mins 58secs – please remove this shot.
2hrs 15mins 25secs – please move this shot to the very start of the ceremony arrival sequence, at 25mins 20secs.

The first round of changes are all completely free.

Besides selecting music for your feature videos, please list 1 or 2 songs for your highlights videos. That way I’ll have music options as I cut your highlights. I always find couples have a better idea of their highlights music after viewing their feature videos. Please include youtube links so I know the exact version of the exact song you have in mind.

As always, do let me know if you have any questions at all. I’m right here to help 🙂

FULL FEATURE VIDEO 3: Mehndi 1.11.19

FULL FEATURE VIDEO 4: Hindu Ceremony 3.11.19

FULL FEATURE VIDEO 5: Reception 27.1.20

I’m sorry guys; Youtube is giving us trouble about all of the copyright music found in your Reception video (in fact Youtube made 46 copyright claims against the Reception video alone). So I had to upload it again to our White Heights OneDrive account for you. You can watch your video directly from the link, or download it and store it on your own device for review 🙂

By the way, if you would like to add some Bollywood music to your wedding videos, you can find a very broad collection on our website here: https://www.whmweddingphotography.com.au/indian-sri-lankan-punjabi-music/
